Our Client, a premier consumer product good food company with products sold worldwide, is seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing for their New England location with direct experience from the Dairy industry.
The right candidate will be responsible establishing and maintaining the upkeep of a 24 hour three shift operation. Oversee all Production, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement in a manner that ensures employee safety and minimizes interruptions in the operation of the facility.

  • Maintain close relations with several departments, such as Materials, Sanitation, Maintenance, Quality and Production.
  • Control the inventory, shipping & receiving needed for various supplies.
  • Assist with managing the preventative maintenance program.
  • Develop various manufacturing policies and programs to be competitive, improve profitability and operational needs.
  • Develop Manager & employees by providing leadership training.
  • Control budgets and develop various plans to handle expenditures for employee wages & salaries for current and future growth.
  • Improve productivity by making recommendations and new implementation.
  • Coordinate any plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment or repairs.
  • Act as the key lead for making sure production goals are met and equipment is being maintained properly with quality and safety insured.
  • Directly manage three senior level managers on a daily basis.
  • Develop and maintain a productive work team by helping to create programs for hiring, training, and professional development.
  • Oversee weekly safety meetings and maintain safety rules and regulations.
  • Work with all State and Federal Food Safety directors to meet all cGMPs requirements.
  • Monitor all material handling equipment maintenance activities’; making sure all equipment is serviced as required.
  • Bachelors Degree is required.
  • 10 Years or more of similar work experience from the dairy industry.
  • Must have 5 plus years of direct management experience directly managing a team.
  • Previous experience in warehouse management in the dairy manufacturing industry.
  • Posses experience with budget and cost management.
  • Lean manufacturing/lean enterprise and Six Sigma experience with developing and coaching a team of employees.
  • Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel
  • Experience working with State & Federal agencies, for safety & OSHA regulations.
  • Lean manufacturing a strong plus or the ability to become Master Black Belt.
