This is a newly created position due to their continued tremendous growth.
This position will coordinate, plan & direct all freight transportation for one their state-of-the-art facilities. You will manage both company & privately owned fleet transportation activities. Manage all the personnel involved in those activities, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in resolving system or operational issues which may affect inbound or outbound performance.

Resolve any system issues which may arise in daily load processing.
Monitor transportation carrier and system status messages and mitigate any expected inbound and/or outbound delivery impacts.
Communicate daily with multisite distribution centers concerning shipping activities.
Manage all third-party fleet relationships.
Correspond daily with warehouse operations teams and third-party transportation carriers to facilitate efficient production levels.
Oversee fleet maintenance needs and fuel purchasing.
Hire, train, develop, evaluate and maintain discipline of transportation staff.
Assist with analyzing and reviewing period end and annual budgets.
Set annual performance goals for all direct reports.
Coordinate personnel coverage to ensure required transportation functions are completed.
Oversee and ensure the accuracy of trailer locations, temperature settings, refrigerated trailer performance, and safety for all employee associates.
Provide direction and leadership to various staff.
Other duties may be assigned.
2 plus years of equivalent Fleet Transportation, Logistics, Warehouse experience from a similar industry or related business.
College degree preferred or an equivalent combination of experience in a related field.
2 or more years of supervisory experience in a fleet distribution facility.
Knowledge of DOT Compliance and Transportation Management Systems.
Good knowledge of logistics/transportation operations and available transportation services.
Experience with dock scheduling.
Prior experience with a P&L budget.
Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.
