Demand & Inventory Planning Manager Position Summary: The Demand & Inventory Planning Manager is responsible for developing and executing demand forecasts, inventory strategies, and supply chain plans that ensure optimal product availability while minimizing costs. This position plays a key role in aligning sales, production, and procurement through integrated business planning (IBP) processes and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Forecasting & Demand Planning
Develop and maintain short- and long-term demand forecasts in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Production.
Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and business inputs to generate accurate forecasts.
Participate in monthly demand planning reviews and integrate updated forecasts into supply chain planning.
Inventory Management & Optimization
Maintain inventory targets by product line, location, and channel to ensure product availability and minimize excess stock.
Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans for inventory shortages or overages.
Monitor key KPIs including inventory turns, fill rates, and service levels.
Supply Chain Coordination
Partner with Procurement, Production, Warehousing, and Logistics to ensure timely product flow across the network.
Communicate schedule changes, forecast variances, and potential service disruptions in advance.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline inventory and production planning processes.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in forecasting and inventory control.
Prepare and present actionable reports and dashboards to key stakeholders.
Track performance against forecast accuracy, service level, and inventory targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a liaison between Sales, Operations, IT, and Finance to ensure alignment on planning assumptions and business goals.
Support IBP/S&OP processes to synchronize supply and demand planning efforts.
Lead meetings to communicate forecasts, service risks, and recommendations.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain planning, or demand forecasting.
Experience using ERP and forecasting tools (SAP preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in a planning, scheduling, or product management role.
Familiarity with inventory and network optimization software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, complex formulas).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of forecasting models, inventory control techniques, and supply chain best practices.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with IBP/S&OP processes and cross-functional collaboration.
Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without the need for a visa sponsorship now or in the future.
